FAQ

How long have you been a massage therapist?

I graduated Massage Therapy school in October of 2023 and was granted a Pennsylvania state massage therapy license in December of 2023. I love being at this phase of my life where I can proactively learn about our anatomy and encourage micro and macro positive changes to our bodies and quality of life. Some say that the devils in the details but I like to say the profound is in the details.

What massage therapy modalities are you passionate about?

I am passionate about deep tissue and trigger point therapy, firmly believing that we should address not only the symptoms of pain but also its root cause.

Influenced by the myofascial trigger point research and contributions of Janet Travell, who served as a physician to President John F. Kennedy, I advocate for a holistic approach to wellness.

Another significant area of emphasis for me is relaxation. Stress often manifests in specific muscle points, some easily discernible and others requiring the skilled touch of a massage therapist. Beyond the physical, stress also exerts psychological effects on our overall well-being. I firmly believe that by addressing these points of discomfort and integrating deep relaxation techniques with other lifestyle improvement choices, we can markedly improve the quality of life as we age.

Who is your ideal client?

Northern Hemi Folk's ideal massage therapy client is someone who values their well-being, seeks relaxation, and prioritizes self-care. They appreciate the benefits of massage therapy for both physical and mental health, and they are open to exploring different techniques to address their needs. They understand the importance of regular sessions for maintaining overall wellness and are committed to their own healing journey. Whether young or old, they are dedicated to aging strong and living their best life.

Why work from home?

Finding a serene and tranquil space in and around the Main Line can be challenging. Utilizing our property provides us and our clients a local private micro-retreat, offering respite from the hustle and bustle of the surroundings. Moreover, initiating this project with a conservative approach, emphasizing low overhead and minimal risk, is well-suited to our current life stage and helps mitigate potential stresses.

What type of lubricant do you use?

I use organic jojoba oil.

Do you offer a mobile massage therapy service?

Certainly. If you wish to schedule a session at your residence or another location, please don't hesitate to send us an email, and we can explore the details of those arrangements.

Do you accept health insurance?

Please note that at this time, I operate as a private pay practice and do not accept health insurance for massage therapy services. I appreciate your understanding and am happy to provide any necessary documentation for potential reimbursement if your insurance plan allows for it.

What is your cancellation policy?

I operate on the premise of trust until proven otherwise by my clients. I kindly request a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations, as failure to do so will result in a charge for the scheduled session.

Where in Radnor do you live?

While it may seem discreet not to disclose our exact address, we trust you understand the importance of not publicizing such information on the internet. Think renting a getaway using Vrbo. In general, our residence is in proximity to Radnor Elementary School. Once we've agreed on a session date/time, you will receive the physical address within the session confirmation email.
